Finishing up the piece I came across a dilemma. The blacks and whites were well balanced, but I felt that the rooster's facial features were getting lost. So I cheated and added color... Sometimes you just gotta know when you're beat.

I think you could have reworked the blacks and white to make it work if you were willing to loose some parts that you liked. But, there is no problem because it looks great like this.
I am happy to see you back on the drawing board. You have a great touch and create very original images. It is worth keeping up.
